Food, Coffee & Groceries

Where to stock up, grab coffee, and find a good meal near the house.

Stocking the kitchen

The kitchen is fully equipped: gas stove and oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, drip coffee maker and a moka pot, kettle, toaster, blender, and a solid set of pots, pans, dishes, and basic spices. Many guests happily cook the whole stay.

  • Walmart — about 3 minutes away, for groceries and anything you forgot.
  • Additional grocery stores and shops are 5 to 10 minutes out.

Coffee at the house

There is a drip coffee maker and a moka pot, plus complimentary coffee and beverages to start. Bring your favorite beans if you are particular.

Eating out

Shops and restaurants are 5 to 10 minutes away, with more options across the border in Kenosha, WI (16 min): lakefront dining, breweries, custard stands, and casual spots. Lake Geneva (44 min) is worth the drive for a nicer evening out.

A note on water

The home is on well water. It is fine for cooking and cleaning; some guests prefer bottled water for drinking. A quick Walmart run covers it.
